About me - Lisa Pleasance

I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000. I am a chartered physiotherapist and member of the HCPC. I spent four years working in the NHS in London and Exeter. Since 2004, I have worked in the private sector in Devon. Pleasance Physio was established in 2012.

During my career, I have consistently advanced my professional development, as I strive to continue to offer clinical excellence.  In 2004 I trained in traditional acupuncture, and then in 2009 I specialised in dry needling acupuncture. In 2006 I studied in Australia, completing a masters module in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy . In 2008 I studied at the Australian Pilates institute in London, and as a result I qualified as a Pilates teacher.  In addition, in 2010, I completed a specialism in Ante and Post natal Pilates. In the last few years I have trained in Cognitive Behavioural/ Functional Therapy, a field in physiotherapy that he been used to manage chronic pain. So, all of this experience gives me the ability to treat all of my clients holistically.
I am North Devon born and bred.  I love to travel, and have been to many diverse parts of the world. I take advantage of the outdoor life that North Devon has to offer, and love to keep active myself through yoga, running, surfing and tennis. I live in Braunton with my husband and my two wonderful children.
